By taking advantage of aviation technology, network information technology, communication technology and 3S (remote sensing, geographic information system, global positioning system) technology, UAS can carry out fruitful work in flood, waterlogging and drought disasters as well as emergency rescue, water pollution monitoring, water administration and law enforcement, and publicity and reporting. The UAS has the advantages of real-time image transmission, access to high-risk areas for detection, low direct costs, mobility and flexibility.
